The story behind Home of Passion

Home of Passion is a project I, Laura, created after dealing with mental health issues for a long time. As I got better, I rediscovered my passion for creating, and wanted to create the site and community I had been missing on my journey. I started out with my best friend, we brainstormed and changed the plans many times. At some point she had to focus on other stuff, and I had a decision to make.

It wasn’t difficult though, this project comes from passion and wanting to create a place for myself and everyone who, just like me, has gone through rough times feeling misunderstood and alone.

I learnt that due to this being such a slow pased enviroment, giving me time and space when needed, it was best to start out as a one-women-show. This way i get to create and run it exactly the way that feel right to me.

We all grew up in completely different parts of the globe, yet we have so many things in common. All the ups and down, all the harrowing emotions crawling through our bodies, nothing happened yet it felt like the whole world was falling apart while we were right there, stuck in the middle of it all. We are certain that most of you can recognize those feelings as well as the fact that it can and will get better eventually. As we are not done growing and learning, and never will be, we simply get better at dealing with our feelings and perhaps talking about them. Growing up can be lonely, and it often feels like you are the only one going through it. You are always searching for someone or something to make you feel less out of place. Someone who just like you, are imperfect, messy and a bit weird in contrast to everyone on social media.

Through my live I have all learned how lovely it feels to have someone to open up to and be honest and vulnerable with. Someone who doesn’t judge but listens with passion and shares private stories as well, allowing you to feel less alone in all of life’s chaotic moments.

Our mission

The dream is to create a brand that connects a wide range of people around a subject we all know– passion. To create diverse content that inspires, starts conversations, and makes people feel something, allowing you, our online friend, to relate.
The two major focus points, other than passion in general, will be mental health in all its forms and interior design. We want to be honest and open, and we will use our personal style and experiences to tell our stories. For further perspectives we will bring on and introduce you to more people to share their stories as well. Home of Passion is to be a community for people to feel inspired in a safe environment.

Luckily, I soon after had more people join the project, all out of passion and believing we could create something great together. We have had a slow beginning, taking our time creating the site the way we wanted it but are now very focused and working hard to turn it into the site and community we know it can be!

Who are we?

Women from different parts of the globe with a passion for creating, sharing, inspiring and telling stories, as well as design, home interior and creating a life we love that is not based on materialism nor fame, yet realizing the impact it has on our society dominated by capitalism. We believe in supporting one another, we believe in female empowerment, we believe in our friends and family, and we believe in us. We are hard workers who enjoy learning and even though it can be scary at times, we love trying something new, and taking chances when needed. We have big dreams and a lot of passion.

From the moment we are born we see, feel, and experience so many things. We take it all in, we react to it, and we form our opinions based on it. We are who we are because of it. We are always trying to expand our horizon, educating ourselves by travelling, listening to podcasts, watching movies, seeing artwork, listening to music, talking and listening to different people.
